Palermo Real Estate Professionals is a boutique, independent residential brokerage focused on South Tampa. Michael Palermo, its founder, broker and president, was born and raised on Davis Islands. He graduated from H.B. Plant High School in 1989 and the University of Florida in 1993, and earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1996. He spent three years practicing real estate and corporate law with large firms. In October 1999 he opened his own real estate law practice and began his real estate career. In November 2002 he formed Palermo Real Estate Professionals, aiming to offer a higher level of service in South Tampa through better-trained, better-educated agents. The company describes itself as the third largest independent brokerage in South Tampa, and many of its agents are multi-generational Tampa natives with deep ties to the neighborhood. It serves buyers and sellers of homes and luxury condominiums and also offers property management and vacation rentals.
