American Red Cross Sarasota Office

The Sarasota Office on Cantu Court is one of two locations of the American Red Cross Southwest Florida Chapter, which also keeps an office in Fort Myers. Together they serve more than 1.5 million people across Sarasota, Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties.

People who have lived through a home fire or another disaster can reach the Red Cross day and night at 1-800-RED-CROSS. Service members, veterans and their families can get help getting ready for, handling and recovering from the strains of military life by calling a dedicated line that runs 24 hours a day.

The Red Cross also runs training in CPR and first aid, along with lifeguarding, swim lessons and water safety courses.

Residents who want to get involved can donate, volunteer or set up an online fundraiser for the chapter. The chapter's Executive Director is John McKinnon, and Andrew Brace serves as chair of its board.
