Story
Since 1923, The Miami Times has been part of the week for readers across South Florida. It is the region's oldest and largest Black newspaper.
The paper was founded by the Reeves family and is still a family-owned business committed to serving the community. Each week it covers the issues that matter most to South Florida's Black community: local and national news, arts and entertainment, family life, business and faith.
Recognition
- The Black Press of America has awarded it the John B. Russwurm Trophy many times, naming it the No. 1 Black newspaper in the country
- National Newspaper Publishers Association awards include the John H. Sengstacke General Excellence Award and Ida B. Wells awards for Best News Story, Best Church Page and Best Entertainment Section
