Story
The Madison County Carrier is published by Greene Publishing, Inc., a family-owned newspaper company in Madison, Florida. The publisher is Emerald Greene. The company was built by her parents, Tommy and Mary Ellen Greene.
In September 2025, the Friday Madison Enterprise-Recorder and the Wednesday Madison County Carrier merged into one larger weekly issue of the Madison County Carrier. The print edition is delivered every Wednesday, and greenepublishing.com is now updated daily with local stories.
The paper covers city and county government, schools, sports, churches, farm and outdoors, local history, community news and obituaries. Greene Publishing also publishes the bi-monthly Front Porch magazine and an annual Life in Madison County guide.
