American Red Cross Fort Myers Office

The Fort Myers Office at 7051 Cypress Terrace is one of two locations of the American Red Cross Southwest Florida Chapter; the second office is in Sarasota. The chapter reaches more than 1.5 million people living in Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Sarasota counties.

Anyone hit by a house fire or another disaster can call the Red Cross at 1-800-RED-CROSS at any hour of the day or night. Members of the armed forces, veterans and their families can turn to the organization for help preparing for and coping with the demands of military service, through a separate line that is open 24 hours a day.

Local residents can also sign up for Red Cross training in CPR, first aid, lifeguarding, swimming and water safety. Blood donors in the area are directed to drives and donation centers run by Lee Health.

Community members can back the chapter's work by giving, volunteering their time or running an online fundraiser. The chapter is led by Executive Director John McKinnon.
