Tropical Labs

Tropical Labs is a private label and contract manufacturing company that makes its products in Tampa, Florida. It was formed in 1998 to produce and sell portable sunscreen towelettes. Today its range covers face, hair and body care, home and pet care, plant-based products, nutraceuticals and OTC products.

Clients can launch in three ways: private label using the company's stock formulas and packaging, Ready to Finish formulas that can be tweaked with their own ingredients or fragrance, or full-service R&D to build a formula from scratch. Private label orders start at 250 pieces, while Ready to Finish and R&D projects start at 2,500. The company says it has more than 1,000 pre-made formulas in a range of colors, scents and flavors.

Production covers balms, powders, thick creams, liquids, sprays and gels, as well as tablets, capsules and soft gels. Co-packing services include batch processing, vacuum mixing, labeling, and hot or cold fill. An in-house creative team works on packaging and branding and prepares pre-production samples.
