Story

Air Animal Pet Movers is a family-owned pet relocation company that veterinarian Dr. Walter Woolf founded in Tampa in 1977. Dr. Woolf started his private veterinary practice in 1961 near Tampa International Airport. Airlines began consulting him on animals in transit, and he went on to care for and board pets flying through Tampa without their owners.

Today the company arranges domestic and international pet moves, corporate relocations, military PCS moves and international health certificates. It moves pets to more than 165 countries and reports reuniting over 175,000 pets with their families. Air Animal is an IATA air cargo agency appointed by more than 225 airlines. Its move managers coordinate trips for dogs, cats, birds, fish and, now and then, horses.

International options range from residence-to-residence VIP service to airport-to-airport Book & Fly. Staff veterinarian Nia Rametta, DVM, oversees health paperwork and travel requirements for traveling pets.
