Associated Industries of Florida (AIF)

Since 1920, Associated Industries of Florida has spoken for the state's business community before all three branches of state government. Known as "The Voice of Florida Business," it is a voluntary association that brings together companies from many different industries.

AIF is a not-for-profit association owned by its members, who come from all parts of Florida and from every segment of the state's private sector. A board of directors drawn from member companies governs its activities. The association's headquarters in Tallahassee stands on the road that links the state Capitol to the governor's mansion.

According to its early charter, AIF exists to support Florida's business and industrial enterprises and to push for fair and equitable legislation affecting its members. Its legislative work includes an advocacy team, session priorities, legislative reports, and voting records publications with a database.

AIF also presents its Champions for Business awards, hosts events such as a fall political and policy retreat and a statewide candidate forum, and runs councils and coalitions for members. Related programs include the Foundation of AIF and a Manufacturers Marketplace.
