On 3rd Street in Neptune Beach, the Beaches Branch stays open until eight on Monday and Tuesday evenings and takes Sundays off. Its walls do double duty: thirty-nine feet of hanging rail and four built-in display cases are set aside for artists who apply to exhibit. Community groups can book the Community Room or the Conference Room, as long as the meeting is free and anyone may walk in. And if you would rather not leave the car, a staff member will carry your holds out to the curb — just don't arrive after six.
