Story
AMPORTS operates the Blount Island terminal in Jacksonville, a key hub for automotive imports and vehicle distribution across the Southeastern United States. The terminal works in partnership with JAXPORT, the Port of Jacksonville, and is part of the AMPORTS network of vehicle processing terminals in the United States and Mexico.
The facility includes 198 acres of yard space with a dynamic capacity of approximately 275,000 vehicles and a 204,000 sq. ft. vehicle processing center. Five berths and two RoRo berths are located near the AMPORTS yards, accommodating Neopanamax vessels up to 228 meters. The terminal connects directly to the I-95 and I-10 interstate highways and to CSX rail, with about 63 million people living within a one-day drive.
Import routes include Mexico, Europe and Asia. Export routes serve Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
Products & services
RoRo Cargo Handling: New vehicles, used vehicles, High & Heavy, and static and project cargo, serving shipping lines including Höegh Autoliners, Siem Car Carriers, MOL, GLOVIS, "K" LINE, Grimaldi, NYK and Sallaum Lines.
High & Heavy Cargo: Handling of heavy and oversized equipment with specialized cranes and forklifts, including inspections and maintenance.
Vehicle Processing: Marine surveys and pre-delivery inspections, accessory installation, mechanical services, detailing and fleet delivery preparation, and wrap guard exterior protection.
Body Shop & Reconditioning: Full-service body shop, undercarriage and full vehicle washing, and undercoating.
EV Services: EV handling, customization, pre-delivery inspections, software updates, white-glove delivery, and charging solutions including Level-2 chargers.
Compliance Processing: Homologation and compliance processing for vehicles.
Pest & Contaminant Control: Heat treatment for biosecurity compliance in a dedicated facility.
Storage & Staging: Paved, fenced and lighted yard with 24/7 security, vehicle staging for export and vessel loading, and real-time digital vehicle tracking.
Parts Handling & Warehousing: Handling and warehousing of vehicle parts.
Rail & Truck: Rail loading and unloading with CSX capacity of 70 railcars, and 70 truck load lanes.
