Story
Nautical Furnishings began in 1972 by designing and producing décor, mostly for nautical-themed restaurants. Today the company designs and fabricates for many kinds of commercial businesses worldwide, and its work is no longer limited to nautical themes. Its main clients are in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
In-house designers create custom décor and accent pieces according to each client's direction and needs. The range includes tables and booths, themed décor, salvaged marine items, specialty materials, reclaimed wood, and lighting and neon signs. Over the years the company has also become a source of authentic marine antiques and nautical décor.
The Fort Lauderdale location combines a manufacturing facility with a retail showroom that displays one-of-a-kind interior accents and specialty lighting. Reclaimed wood is sold through a reclaimed wood warehouse, and clients can contact the company about custom build-outs.
John T. Connelly, Jr. is listed as founder and leads design and development, while Michael Hoglund and Winston Wren are listed as presidents.
